CEOP
This website has been brought to you by the Education Team at the Child Exploitation and Online Protection centre or CEOP for short (www.ceop.police.uk). CEOP are a Government
run law enforcement agency and we aim to protect young people from abuse, both online and in the real world. CEOP is formed of people from lots of different professional backgrounds,
including police officers and social workers, who are all working together to protect young people. CEOP believe that every child matters, everywhere.
Our mission
At CEOP, we want to help keep young people safe and we do this in lots of ways. This could mean investigating and arresting someone who has or is trying to abuse young people or it could
mean educating young people, teachers and parents, about how to better protect themselves from nasty people.
Thinkuknow
Thinkuknow is the name of the CEOP education brand. There are loads of thinkuknow resources for you to look at, including the website, films, lessons and leaflets. We give teachers
different resources to use with young people. If you haven’t had any thinkuknow lessons in your school, ask your teacher to visit www.thinkuknow.co.uk/teachers. There’s a place for your
parents to learn more too, tell them to have a look at www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents for lots of information to get them up to date.
CEOP Report
We have a ‘CEOP report’ button that is designed for young people to get in contact with us if they are worried about something or someone online. Have a look at the ‘who can I tell if
I’m worried’ section for more information.
